Which class is good for beginners?

Before reading you can look at our previous discussion about who is the best class. ESO does a very good job at offering you balance when it comes to selecting the right class. There are 5 classes in total. You have the warden, which is basically a spellcaster which can also summon very powerful animals. It's a very interesting class, but it's not really beginner friendly, so you may want to take that into consideration the best way that you can.

Then you have the night blade. This class is great because it offers a good set of damage and restoring abilities. There's even a dark brotherhood DLC that will help expand the feature set you have at this time. You will need to focus on stamina or medium armor, but you can also go with magicka and light armor if you want to. The night blade tends to have better ultimates, not to mention that the overall abilities are better too. This is a skill that helps you teleport behind enemies, so it does make sense to use this type of approach. Bow and dual daggers will be a great option for the night blade.

Sorcerers aren't exactly beginner friendly. You will have to focus on stamina if possible. The Daedric summoning skill line is a very lackluster one. Magicka sorcerers are better healers and they also tend to be stronger too. That being said, you can go with a high elf and lightning or a dark elf and flame for the best possible experience in here. Used adequately, the sorcerer can be a good DPS character, but then again you can also use supporting abilities too, and those are also very handy! It's not for most beginners though, but if you play with others and want to be a healer, that can work even as a beginner.

Dragon knights are maybe the best option for beginners. They have a lot of damage and defense. There are a few magicka based abilities in there and stamina builds work really well. You do want to focus on attack mostly, but you can also go with poison/stamina or magicka/flame if possible.

Lastly, you have the Templars. They are focused on magicka as they use a good restoring skill line. That being said, they have the best balance between sorcerers and DPS characters. You will mostly focus on melee here, but it's definitely a good option if you want balanced characters.

If you want to get into ESO, then going for the dragon knight or the Templar may be a very good option. But you can also choose to be a night blade. A good idea is to create a character for each class and play for a little bit. Each person plays ESO differently, so you have to figure out on your own what option suits you the most!
