R4PG Game Store Date: Dec/03/18 03:19:10 Views: 4851

Righteous Fire is a skill that lights you on fire, giving you more spell damage and burning you for a ton of fire damage per second, while also burning everything else around you in an AoE!

With this build, you need low budget but your little put-in may bring you a high DPS.

Points or Oak. I take Oak personally.

Pantheons

As for Pantheons, you can take whatever you want. They can be hotswapped so just test whichever you like most.

Gems Setup

This differ slightly from the minmax pastebin up top ^ seeing as most players won't be able to get that tier of gear.

4 Link: BBBR

(Vaal) Righteous Fire, Elemental Focus, Increased Area of Effect (Concentrated Effect for bosses),Increased Burning Damage

IF you can get an elder helm, go for Supported By Burning Damage/Conc Effect/Essence of Horror. This allows you to use Arcane Surge + Swift Affliction instead of those 2 links. Arcane Surge adds a hidden "duration" tag to RF, allowing Swift Affliction to work. This is highest DPS setup.

Another option is Elder Helmet with Essence of Horror, Burning, Conc, and 4 Blue. RF, Ele Focus, Efficacy, Inc Area for more quality of life.

3 link: RRR IN DOON CUBIYARI

Cast When Damage Taken (as high as you can get), Molten Shell (as high as your CWDT will support), Life Leech, Iron Will (from Doon itself)

4 Link: RGRR

Shield Charge, Faster Attacks, Fortify, Brutality

4 Link: RRRB

Cast When Damage Taken (as high as you can get), Vortex (as high as your CWDT will support), Immortal Call (as high as your CWDT will support), Stone Golem (as high as your CWDT will support)

3 Link: RRR

Purity of Fire, Vitality, Enduring Cry

4-5 Link: RBBB (B)
Cast When Damage Taken (Level 1), Ball Lightning (level 4), Curse on Hit (as high as you can get), Flammability (as high as you can get). If you can get the extra blue socket, Orb of Storms will allow you to manually cast a spell that also curses for EE/EO. If you don't level Flammability past the level that CWDT is trying to cast, it will not do anything.

1 Link: B
Scorching Ray (HIGH LEVEL)

Gear

Simple Overview

Gear

Required Gear/Level

  • Rise of the Phoenix: REQUIRES LEVEL 65 to use. This allows us to sustain RF through max fire res.
  • Doon Cuebiyari: Our main source of generic damage for RF and everything else. Use only if you have > 800 Strength.
  • Doryani's Catalyst: Use this until you break 800 Strength.

If you can't afford either Doon or Doryani's, just use a Sceptre with Increased Elemental/Fire damage/Burning Damage/Damage over Time on it.

Other Gear Stat Priorities

Helmet
To start out with, a basic rare with life/resists/strength is fine. Eventually you'll want to aim for an Elder helmet that has Socketed Gems are Supported By Concentrated Effect OR Burning Damage. That will allow you to create a pseudo 5 link helmet setup. Then you can go for 2 of those mods. Later on, you can even go for Essence of Horror for 30% More Elemental Damage for your helmet, and Conc/Burning Damage for a perfect 6 link + 30% more helmet. Quite juicy for our Righteous Fire setup. A perfect DPS Elder Helmet would be 99 + 33 Life, Level 20 Conc Effect, Level 20 Burning Damage, 55 Strength, and 30% More Elemental Damage Essence.
Gloves
If you can't afford/access/craft an Elder helmet, you can also just use an Essence of Delirium pair of gloves. That will gain you 30% More Damage Over Time in your glove links for Righteous Fire. Same stat priorities as your helmet though. Life, resists, strength, dex if you need. Attack speed is nice as well but not required at all. Perfect gloves would be something like 89 + 33 Life, 55 Strength, 48 Resist, 55 Dexterity or something along those lines.
Chest
To start out with, a rare chest with ES/Armour as a base (to make for easier socket coloring) will do. Aim for life/resists/strength again. If you can afford to buy and recolor a Belly of the Beast, go for it. If not, aim for a life/% max life chest either from Elder mods or Incursion, with as much strength and resists as you can get. Any additional defensive mods like Physical Damage Taken As Fire/Cold/Lightning is great. % Life regen/% Strength are hugely beneficial as well. A perfect Elder chest would be 129 + 38 Life, 12% Maximum Life, 55 Strength, 12% Increased Strength, and 2% Life Regenerated per Second.
Boots
Pretty basic stuff here. You'll want a rare with life/movement speed, resists and strength. Noticing a trend here yet? Perfect would be 89 + 28 Life, 35% Movement Speed, 55 Strength, 48/48 Resistances.
Rings
Rare rings with as much life/resists/strength and other stats are great. Aim for Corals if you want more life, or Opals if you want more dps. Or if you need resists, the basic ele res rings/two stones are fine. A perfect ring would be 79 Life, 20% Armour, 47 Energy Shield (little bit of extra dps), 55 Strength, 48% Resist or 16% All Resists.
Amulet
You'll want to aim for a rare with extremely high life/strength and whatever else you can get. Marble amulets have % life regen implicits, and Elder amulets can have % life regen as a suffix. Get the best one you can afford. A perfect Elder Marble Amulet would be 89 Life, 51 ES, 20% Armour, 55 Strength, 2% Life Regen, and 35 All Attributes.
Belt
Start out with a basic rare that has high life/resists/strength. Leather belts or Stygians are great. Eventually you'll want to aim for an Elder belt that has up to 20% Life Recovery Rate as a suffix. That is a more multiplier for our overall life regen, and does not show up in your defense tooltip (it will show up in Path of Building correctly). A "perfect" Elder belt would be something like 99 Life, 10% Maximum Life, 5% crafted Movement Speed, 60 Strength, 20% Life Recovery Rate, and 12% Increased Strength, on a Stygian Base. That belt will never exist, as you cannot get i85 Elder Stygians, but there are some coming very close. I'm working on one myself :).
Shield
You'll be aiming for a Rise of the Phoenix with as much life as possible.
Weapon
If you have <800 Strength, go for a Doryani's Catalyst, prioritizing the up to 100% elemental damage mod and the attack speed rolls. Once you can break 800 Strength, swap to a Doon Cubiyari and prioritize the Strength roll.
Jewels
Word of advice: Get whatever stats you are lacking first. These are just a guideline.
Stat Priority
  • Life
  • Burning Damage
  • Fire Damage
  • Damage/Damage Over Time/Area Damage
  • Strength/Resists/other stats if you need/want them.
Abyss Jewels
  • Life
  • % Life Regeneration While Moving
  • % Chance to Gain Onslaught on Kill
  • Critical Strike Chance If You Haven't Crit Recently

Mapping

Annoying/hard map mods

  • - Maximum Player Resistances
  • Cursed with Elemental Weakness
  • Players have Less Recovery of Life and Mana

Leveling

Suggested Uniques: Goldrim, Wanderlust, Tabula Rasa, Axiom Perpetums/Lifesprings

Random other stuff: Minus Mana Cost Elreon Jewelry, extra Quicksilver Flasks.

Try to cap your Elemental Resists by act 5-6 and get as much life on gear as possible. Any rare item you wear should have at least some life or resists, ideally both. Follow the "Other Gear Stat Priorities" section above for those non-unique slots.

SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE
