What Can We Look Forward To In MapleStory 2?
MapleStory was a huge success and in 2017, it was finally released outside of Korea when the Chinese version of the game came out. Recent updates have shown that a worldwide version of MapleStory 2 is deep in development and looks to be on course for a 2018 or 2019 release. So what do we know about MapleStory 2?
The biggest difference in MapleStory 2 is the design. While MapleStory 1 was a 2D action platform game with a heavy emphasis on hack and slash action. MapleStory 2 changes the art style (it has a kind of blocky design to it) and the action is now viewed from an isometric point of view.
The same leveling up, different jobs, classes, and upgrades have been brought back for MapleStory 2. Some of the interesting new features are things like mini-games, house building and more in depth combat. One of the big talking points of MapleStory 2 is how the game is actually set before the events of the first game. Of course, what this means from a narrative point of view, we will have to wait and see when the game is released outside of Korea and China.
There are plenty of videos online of people playing the Korean or Chinese version of the game, but unless you understand those languages you are missing out on a large part of the game.
MapleStory 2 is coming, we all know that and we think that the changes that Nexon have made seem very interesting and we cannot wait to get our hands properly on the game. In the meantime though, we have the first MapleStory and to show our love for the game, we are still making sure that our prices are so low that we are the best place to online.
